SBBA Secretary, Joseph Sylvester said its president Datuk Juhar Mahiruddin was delighted with the turn out, out of which 70 percent were made up of participants from the Sabah police contingent.
According to Sylvester, the objective of the two-day course, which was conducted at the Likas Sports Complex here, was to standardise coaching in all gyms throughout the State.
He added that the course, which was conducted by former national bodybuilding coach, Aziz Ahmad from Kuala Lumpur, was also a platform for preparing participants for the Sports Science Level 1 Bodybuilding Coaching course, which SBBA is planning to organise this September.
“The turn-out for the course was better than we expected and our President is delighted that it was so well received.
“This will help us later when we speak with the Malaysian Bodybuilding Federation and the National Sports Council about organising the Level 1 Bodybuilding Coaching course. If everything goes well, this would be the first time the course would be held here in Sabah,” said Sylvester.
He told Daily Express this when met on Tuesday.
SBBA Deputy President, Johnny Voo officiated the coaching course and witnessed the certificate presentation ceremony.
